Final “Strollin'” Jazz Event Set for September 2
The Greater Madison Jazz Consortium's final Strollin' event of the year will be held this Friday, September 2, in the City of Middleton's eminently walkable downtown area. There will be seven hours of continuous and stylistically diverse live jazz at five walkable venues, with no cover charges. Producer (and Madison bassist) Nick Moran has put together another outstanding array of musicians, from the big band sounds of the Madison Jazz Orchestra to the Tom Ryan Orchette’s performance of Miles Davis’ “Birth of the Cool” to the trio featuring vocalist Sally DeBroux, fans will be able to stroll from venue to venue and find engaging music for any taste.
